This article guides School IT Administrators through the process of authorizing and sharing data from ClassLink Roster Server to AssessPrep. This integration automates the creation of accounts, classes, and enrollments.
Prerequisites
Administrator access to your school’s ClassLink Management Console.
Access to the ClassLink Roster Server dashboard.
Step 1: Add the AssessPrep Application
Log in to your ClassLink Roster Server.
Click the Applications tab in the top navigation bar.
Click the +Add button in the top right-hand corner.
Search for "AssessPrep" and click Add.
Step 2: Set Data Sharing Permissions
To ensure only the necessary data is synced, you must define sharing rules:
Find AssessPrep in your application list and click the Permissions (shield icon).
Select Rule-Based Permissions:
Schools: Select the specific school buildings that will use AssessPrep.
Courses/Subjects: Ensure you include the relevant curriculum courses (e.g., IB MYP, DP, or specific subjects) that require synchronization.
Click Save.
Step 3: Verify and Enable the Sync
Click the Preview (eye icon) next to the AssessPrep app.
Review the totals for Students, Teachers, and Classes to ensure they align with your school's data.
Once verified, toggle the Enabled switch to ON.
What happens next?
Once you have enabled the application in ClassLink, please notify your AssessPrep Integration Manager or contact support@assessprep.com.
Our team will perform a final validation and trigger the initial import. Your data will then be visible in your AssessPrep admin dashboard.
