The AssessPrep Educator App allows teachers to scan and upload student answer sheets for paper‑mode assessments. It automatically maps each page to the correct student and question, streamlining the grading process

Login the App
You should use the same credentials that you use on assessprep.com to login to the app. You can also use 'Login with Microsoft' account to login.
Navigating homepage
On the home screen, you’ll see a list of your paper‑mode assessments. Each card displays the assessment name, join code, grade, subject, maximum points, author, creation date and the number of submissions
- Name of assessment
- Assessment join code
- Grade for which the assessment was created.
- Subject for which the assessment was created
- Max. points for the assessment
- User who created the assessment
- Date when the assessment was created
- Number of submissions the assessment has
- Click on the hamburger menu to open more navigation options
Uploading Submissions
Tap the assessment you want to process and select Start uploading.
Upload Modes
- Camera - You can use this mode to click live images of students submissions & upload them quickly. We give various image enhancement, cropping features in this mode.
- Gallery mode - You can select already clicked images & upload them directly using this mode.
Camera Mode
- Center the paper in the camera & our mode will automatically try to outline the full document in the screen. When you're ready & paper is aligned well.
- Click to capture.
- Captured images are automatically saved.
- Please make sure, that both header/footer is captured in the frame. Also make sure that short codes on left margin are also captured in the clicked images.
Preview Image
- Done - If all images have been clicked press 'Done'
- Image count
- Thumbnail of current previewed image
- Add icon - Use to click more images
- Crop & Rotate - To crop & rotate an image
- Filter, Clean & Retake an image using these options
Saved Images
- Once you click on 'Done' on Image preview screen you will see the below screen, which shows all the saved images progress.
- You will also see if we were not able to save any image & get an option to retry (this can happen in-case of internet errors)
- Remove an uploaded image - Use trash icon to remove unwanted images
- Add Image - Use this upload more images
- Start processing - This starts the process of taking all you images and mapping them to the right students & the right questions. The processing process is automated & make take few minutes depending on the images you have uploaded. You will see progress post starting the process.
Processing Progress
- Once the process starts you will be able too see upload progress.
- This can take couple of seconds to minutes depending on number of images that were uploaded.
- Minimize the popup & the process will run in background.
- Stop processing to stop the upload process.
Finalizing Submissions
Created Submissions
- Once the upload process completes, you will be able to see all the student submissions that were created from the uploaded images.
- Click on 'View' to view details of the submission.
- Upload more - Can be used to upload more images. Please note if an image of a already created submission is uploaded - it will overwrite it.
View Submission
- Submission detail screen allows you to view all images that have been mapped to the student.
- You can also view which question each image has been mapped to.
- If non relevant images have been mapped same can be deleted from here.
Grading Submissions
This option is restricted to web only as of now. Please login to assessprep.com with your credentials to Grade submissions for the assessment.
