When students upload handwritten answers or scanned pages, AssessPrep provides tools for annotating and grading directly in the platform.
Annotating handwritten submissions
Click on the student name or grading progress column on the grading tab to open a specific student detailed view for grading.
Select a different student to grade from within the preview
Navigate to different question from the selector
To review any image for students response, select the question that the image needs to be reviewed for & then only review that specific question in the image.
For example in the image below the selected question is Q1.3, so user should only review Q1.3 in the image & ignore rest.
Annotation Toolbar
Utilize the extensive annotation toolbar to enhance the grading experience. It includes tools like:
- Rotate Left/Right: Correct the orientation of a wrongly-uploaded file.
- Move Tool: Grab and move the uploaded submission for better viewing.
- Zoom In/Out Tool: Zoom into the details or out for a broader view.
- Ticks and Crosses: Indicate correct or incorrect points easily.
- Comment: Add comments on students' answers, enhancing feedback.
- Draw Rectangle/Path: Select specific regions on the image.
- Add Text: Type text directly onto the image, enabling clear communication.
- Delete: Remove annotations as needed.
- Reset: Restore the original state of the uploaded image.
Note: The annotations save automatically.
Grading handwritten submissions
You can choose to grade manually by assigning points and comments or use AI-assisted grading to suggest scores and feedback. After reviewing, confirm the points you award.
