Generate questions using AI

Points based assessment

• Open your assessment and click on the "+" button. Select "Generate with AI" to open the AI Assistant modal.

• Generate with AI parameters
  1. Subject/Program - This is pre-selected based on the assessment parameters you set during creation.
  2. Select question type - Select the question type you will like the questions to be generated for. Possible types - Long answers, MCQ, MCQ Multiple, True/False, Fill blanks, Fill drop-down, Match, Sort, Classify, Question with sub-parts.
  3. Select command term - Select a command term that you would like the generated questions to be based on.
  4. Enter points - Point for each question generated
  5. Additional context - You can enter more details on what kind of questions you would like to be generated. Any special instructions goes here & is taken into consideration while generating questions.
  6. Attach (PDF/Image) - The AI assistant can analyse and generate questions from any text, image or pdf source, making it easy to create assessments based on diverse content.
      

• Generate and Select
  1. Click "Generate" to receive 3 unique questions based on your parameters. If you like what you see, simply click "Add" or "Add All".
  2. If you would like to generate more questions you can click on "Generate More" & it will generate more questions based on the same context that you provided.
  3. If you would like to update the context you provided, click on the Context tab & make you changes there & Generate again from the context tab itself.

• Update AI authoring settings globally for all further generations
  You can click on the settings icon in the Generate Questions with AI modal to update AI authoring settings for all further generations.
  

• AI Assistant settings

  This will open a popup where you can update the settings.
  1. Output language - You can set a language in which all questions should be generated in
  2. Number of questions - You can set number of questions per generation
  3. Explanation Length - This is used for Teachers Explanations
  
  

Criteria Based Assessments

AI Question authoring remains same as Points based, except you get to select criteria's while generating assessments.

 

Generate Teachers Explanations

Use the assistant to effortlessly generate teachers explanations for any question, providing clear, detailed explanations that help students grasp critical concepts and methodologies.

1. Open the question editor: Edit the question you want to add an explanation to.
2. Use the magic wand: Click on "Add Teacher's Explanation" and then click the magic wand icon.
3. Review and save: Once the AI Assistant finishes, review the generated explanation. Click "Save" to add it to your question, and feel free to edit it further before saving.

4. Improve Teacher Explanation

Existing Teachers Explanation can be improved using AI. Here you can provide your own inputs on how to improve it, specify any additions or subtractions that you would like to do

 

Generate Mark-scheme

1. Open the question editor: Edit the question you want to add mark-scheme to.
2. Use the magic wand: Click on "Include Mark-scheme" and then click the magic wand icon.
3. Review and save: Once the AI Assistant finishes, review the generated mark-scheme. Click "Save" to add it to your question, and feel free to edit it further before saving.
