Invigilators have special permissions to oversee a test without modifying its content. They can view student progress, communicate with students, and take actions such as adding time or submitting tests.
- Access the Monitor tab: As an invigilator, open the assessment and select the Monitor tab to see all student attempts. You’ll see a list of students, their status, and the time remaining.
- View logs and progress: Each student row includes a log of events (focus lost or regained, submission time) and a progress bar showing how far they are in the test. Use these logs to monitor behavior.
- Chat or broadcast messages: Send private messages to individual students or broadcast announcements to the entire class from the Monitor tab.
- Add extra time: If a student needs additional time due to technical issues or accommodations, you can grant extra minutes directly from the dashboard.
- Force submit or report: If a student finishes early or if there is a concern, you can force-submit their test. You can also report issues for review by administrators.
- Limitations: Invigilators cannot edit the assessment content or change delivery settings. They are restricted to monitoring and communication tasks only.
