This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough on setting up your school with the AssessPrep Platform. It covers everything from logging in as an admin to managing user accounts and classes. You can jump to any section directly by clicking on the jump links below.
Login
Login to AssessPrep as an Admin via the Welcome E-mail sent to your inbox.
School Settings
Navigate to the Settings tab to update the following for your school:
- Subjects: Add or update the subjects your school offers.
- Grade Levels: Specify the different grade levels.
- Labels: Customize the labels used within the platform.
- Academic Terms: Set the academic terms for each year.
Manage User Accounts
Navigate to Users via the left navigation menu. You can create new users by clicking the +Create button on top of the page.
- Click "Create"
- Add the necessary details of the student.
- Click "Submit"
The account will be created, and the student will be able to log in.
After the account is created, the system assigns a unique 6-character Student code, which is a combination of alphabets and numbers.
Edit or Archive Accounts
The icons allow you to reset the password (lock icon) Edit (pencil icon) or Archive (trash can) users.
Reset Passwords
You can reset a password for existing users by following these steps:
- Click on the lock icon next to the user.
- Enter a new password in the pop-up box.
- Click the Update icon.
Manage Classes
Navigate to Classes via the left navigation menu . Click the +Create button to add a new class.
1. Create Classes
To create a new class:
- Enter the class name
- Choose the year
- Choose the subject
- Select teachers – map multiple teachers to each classroom to allow collaboration on tests.
- Choose the start term and end term
- Click “Submit”
Once the class is created, click on it to map students to the class.
2. Edit or Archive Classes
In the Classes section, you will see icons next to each class that allow you to perform different actions:
- Edit Icon (pencil): Click this icon to edit the details of a class, such as its name, year, subject, teachers, or terms.
- Archive Icon (trash can): Click this icon to archive a class that is no longer needed. Archiving will remove the class from the active list but will keep its records for future reference.
