1. View Backups/Recover Responses
Gain insights into student progress and recover lost answers.
AssessPrep's automatic backup feature can be a lifesaver in certain situations. It can help you recover previous versions of answers and see how a student reached a certain conclusion.
How to Use:
- View Backups: Click on the clock icon within the grading modal to view the sequential backups for a student’s answer.
- Recover Responses: Select the desired response from the sequential backups and click to recover it.
Note: This is particularly useful if a student has mistakenly deleted an answer or if you suspect cheating. You can see the date and time of the cloud backups, allowing you to trace a student's progress.
2. Reset Submissions
Allows a student to resume and re-submit a test if submitted by mistake or for other reasons.
How to Reset:
- Click the 'Actions' drop-down menu at the top right corner.
- Select the 'Reset Submission' option.
- If it's a timed assessment, select the additional time in minutes you want to grant the student.
Note: By default, only admin accounts can reset submissions. School admins can go to the 'Organization' tab and enable 'Allow teachers to reset submissions' if they wish teachers to have this capability.
3. Anonymous Grading
Ensures fair and unbiased evaluation by hiding student names.
How to Enable:
- Go to the delivery tab.
- Turn on the 'Anonymous grading' option.
Warnings:
- Once enabled, teachers cannot disable anonymous grading on a test. Only administrators have this ability.
- Administrators can temporarily disable anonymous grading from the grading tab to view student names. This will not affect the teachers' view.
- The export to PDF and Excel option is disabled if “Anonymous grading” is ON, to protect student identities during export.
FAQs -
Not able to see the student responses on the grading tab - Visit the 'Monitor' tab and make sure the assessment is submitted by the student, if not you can ask the student to submit or choose to force submit as a teacher.
