This guide describes the various features of the Grading grid-view on AssessPrep that will help you to manage, grade and analyse student responses more effectively.

1. Student Submissions Overview
a. Viewing Submissions
- View Student Names and Submission Count: The first column displays the students name and their submission count. Hovering over the clock icon helps to quickly glance at the date and time of submission. It also shows which student has submitted their work and when.
Advanced Tip: In case of submissions made after the end of the timeline, the clock icon will turn red.
b. Performance Colors and Indicators
Each cell exhibits a unique performance color or icon, reflecting the student's performance in a specific question or the overall test. Here's what they represent:

Shows an unattempted question during the assessment. | |
Denotes a question or the entire assessment is not graded. | |
Denotes that the question is graded. | |
A score between 0 and 25% for a question or the entire assessment. | |
A score between 25 and 50% for a question or the entire assessment. | |
A score between 50 and 75% for a question or the entire assessment. | |
A score between 75 and 100% for a question or the entire assessment. |
*Note: Auto-graded questions will automatically have the performance colors, and unattempted questions are assigned zero marks.
2. Searching and Filtering
a. Search bar
- Search students: Type the student’s first or last name to find the student in the list.
b. Filtering by Status
- Filter Ungraded: Shows students who have ungraded responses.
- Filter Unpublished: Shows students whose results are yet to be published.
3. Grading Progress
a. Individual Student Grading Progress
- Denotes the percentage of questions graded for a specific student. Hovering the cursor over the progress shows the number of questions graded against the total.
b. Overall Grading Progress
- This gives you a bird’s eye view of the entire grading process based upon the total number of questions graded for all students against the total to be graded.
4. Sort Views
a. Sorting Options
- Sort by Submissions: Click to sort names alphabetically (A-Z or Z-A) by first or last name.
- Sort by Grading Progress: Arrange students by their grading progress.
- Sort by Total/Overall Marks: Order students by ascending or descending total marks.
- Sort by Individual Questions: Sort each question by ascending or descending order.
5. Change Name Format
- Adjust the Name Format: Toggle between "first name last name" or "last name, first name."
Note: The default option is "first name last name," but you can change it as needed.
