How to Pause and Resume an Assessment

Need to pause a test mid-way? Whether it's for a quick class discussion or to align assessments with your teaching pace, control is essential. With AssessPrep, you decide when and how students access assessments. The "Pause Test" feature enables you to instantly halt an assessment for the entire class and resume it anytime without losing progress

Navigate to the Monitor Dashboard

• Once the assessment is in progress, go to the Monitor dashboard
• Here, you will see student names along with their assessment progress and status.

 

Pause the Assessment

• On the top right section of the dashboard, locate and click on the Pause Test button.

• Select "Yes " to immediately pause the test for all students, regardless of their progress. 

 

To Resume the Assessment

• When you're ready to continue, return to the Monitor dashboard.
• Click the same button (which now shows as "Resume Test").
• If the test has a time limit, pausing also stops the timer, which will resume once the assessment is unpause.

This feature ensures flexibility, making it easier to manage assessments in real time.
