1. How to Log in to AssessPrep
Follow these steps to access your AssessPrep account:
- Navigate to app.assessprep.com
- Choose your login method:
- For Google or Microsoft account holders : You can log in by clicking the "Login with Google" or "Login with Microsoft" button and entering your respective credentials when prompted.
- For other email clients: Click the "Forgot password" button and enter your email address. Then, check your email for instructions to set a new password. Once you've set your new password, use it along with your email to log in.
Note: If you encounter any login issues, please contact your organization administrator for assistance.
2. How to Navigate Your AssessPrep Dashboard
After logging into your AssessPrep account, you’ll see a dashboard with five main tabs on the left side of the screen. Each tab has a specific purpose to help you manage your assessments, classes, and account. Here's a detailed breakdown of each tab:
1. My Assessments
View a comprehensive list of all assessments you have duplicated and assigned to your students. This tab gives you quick access to your active and past assessments.
2. Library
The Library tab contains the following folders:
a) School Library: This contains all the assessments made by teachers at your school.
b) AP DP: This contains full practice assessments for the AP DP program, created by AssessPrep and Pamoja.
c) IB DP: This contains old IB Diploma Program assessments.
d) AP MYP Standard: This contains practice eAssessments and smaller topic-wise assessments made by AssessPrep for the IB MYP program.
3. Users: This tab gives you the ability to assign the role to users as student or teachers. You can set the password for any user, view their student codes and edit their details.
4. Classes: This tab hosts a complete list of all your classes.
- Search: The search bar on the top, allows you to search for class names.

Filter: Through the right navigation panel, you can easily filter for
classes if you teach in multiple programs.
Manage class memberships: View and edit class memberships. To edit a class membership:
- Click on the desired class
- You can view a list of all the students here. If you're looking for a specific student, simply use the search bar to quickly locate them.
- Click on the checkbox next to a student's name to add/remove them.
- Click the 'Save' button to confirm your changes.
This feature allows you to keep your class rosters up-to-date and organized.
5. Download Apps: This tab provides access links to download the lockdown version of the AssessPrep application. These applications are used by students when taking exams in lockdown mode. As a tutor, you can:
- Download and install these applications on your device
- Simulate the test-taking environment from a student's perspective
- Experience first-hand how the lockdown mode functions
3. How to Create an Assessment for MYP
Follow these steps to create an assessment for MYP
- Navigate to the 'My Assessments' tab from the left panel on the home page.
- Click on the 'Create' Button to start creating your test.
- You'll be redirected to the 'Create Test' page, as shown below.
- Click on 'Create' to start creating a new assessment.
- Once you click on 'Save', you will be redirected to the 'My Assessments' tab and
you can see the test you have just created on the top. Now you can add
questions and resources to your test.
4. How to Duplicate an MYP Assessment
To to duplicate the assessment from the assessment bank of AP MYP Standard i.e. located in the Library tab. Follow these detailed steps:

Navigate to the Library Tab
- Click on the "Library" tab in the left-side menu

Access the AP MYP Standard
- Open the "AP MYP Standard" bank within the Library

Browse Subject Categories
- You will see different Subject cards. When you click on your desired subject, a list of relevant assessments will open up.

Select an Assessment
- Under each assessment name, details include the AP MYP standard, Year level, subject name, and the rubric.
- Click on the specific assessment you want to use

Duplicate the Assessment
- Click on the "Use" button to duplicate the assessment
- This action will copy the assessment to your "My Assessments" folder

Access the Duplicated Assessment
- Navigate to the "My Assessments" tab to find your duplicated assessment
5. How to Create Questions with AI

Now, again go to "My assessments" tab, click on the assessment you've just created for MYP. Once you click on it, you will be redirected to the 'Create' tab, where you can start building your questions. Follow the steps below to continue.

6. How to Configure Delivery Settings

After creating your assessment, click on 'Deliver' tab (See image below).
In this tab, you need to configure delivery settings of the assignment before assigning it to students. Here's an overview of key settings:

Delivery Mode: Choose security level
- Any browser: No security, suitable for low-stakes assessments
- Any browser with security: Monitors student focus, alerts for off-test activity
- Lockdown app: Highest security, prevents access to other applications/websites

Start Condition:
- Anytime: Students can start once published
- Scheduled time: Students can only start at a specific date/time

Close Date/Time:
- Manual: You close access when ready
- Scheduled: Automatically closes at set date/time
- Join Code: Optional 6-letter code for additional security
- Timed Assessment: Enable countdown timer and set duration
- Allow Upload Documents: Permits students to upload scanned handwritten answers

Calculators:
- Scientific Calculator: Enable Desmos Scientific Calculator
- Graphing Calculator: Enable Desmos Graphing tool for plotting
- Spellcheck: Enable Assess Prep's built-in spellcheck
- Anonymous Grading: Hide student names during grading for unbiased evaluation
- External Video Call Link: Add Zoom or Google Meet link for remote monitoring
- Extra Instructions: Provide exam instructions visible to students throughout the test.
7. How to Assign Test to Students

Once you have configured the delivery settings for your assessment, the next steps are to assign students. Here is what to do next.
Assign Students

Select Classes
- Click 'Select Classes' and choose from the dropdown
- Student differentiation: Use checkboxes to assign to specific students within a class

Select Individual Students
- Click 'Select students' and use the search bar to map individuals

Allow any student to take the assessment with Join code:
- Toggle this option on if you're unable to map specific students
- Any student within your organization can find and start the test using the join code
8. How to Publish a Test
- Click the 'Draft' button in the top right
- Select 'Publish' from the dropdown
- The test will now be available to assigned students
Note: You cannot edit a published test. Switch to 'Draft' mode to make changes.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you can't see a class or student:
- Check your class mappings in the 'Classes' section and update membership.
- Contact your admin to make sure that the student account/class exists.
9. How to Monitor an Assessment

Once you have published the MYP assessment, the students can login to their accounts and start the test. While the students are taking the test, you can use the monitor tab to manage the assessment in real-time. The illustration below is the image of the monitor tab. The functionalities of this tab is further elaborated further.
Here's what you can do with the Monitor tab:

Search and Filter:
- Find students by name
- Filter by test status (Started, Ended, Submitted) or class

Automatic Attendance:
- View count and list of students who haven't joined the test

Student Count by Test Status:
- All: Total students joined
- Started: Currently taking the test
- Ended: Finished but not submitted
- Submitted: Completed and submitted

Test Progress and Live Attempt Status:
- See each student's progress percentage and attempted questions
- Live Attempt Status: View attempted (Blue) / unattempted (Grey) questions (Premium feature)
- Active Question: See which question a student is currently working on

Student Information:
- Online (Green) / Offline (Red) status
- Device info: OS and browser used
- Number of document uploads
- Focus Lost Count: Times student left test window (for browser with security mode)
- Timer: Remaining time for timed assessments
- Test status: Not started, Started, Ended, or Submitted

- Announcements: Broadcast to all or selected students

- Add additional time for specific students

10. How to Grade Your MYP Assessment

- Numbers next to the tab show published grades vs. total submissions

- See student submissions, grading progress, and scores at a glance
- Color-coded cells indicate performance levels and grading status
